Joe and Chandler Rogers

How It All Began

Rogers Custom Millwork didn't start in a showroom — it started on job sites. Our founder, Joe Rogers, spent the 1980s and early 90s as a hands-on home builder, personally overseeing every phase of construction from foundation to final finish. He subcontracted only what he had to — the mechanical and electrical trades — and handled the rest himself. Building complete homes from the ground up sharpened his eye for detail and gave him a deep understanding of how early decisions shape the outcome of an entire project.

By the mid-90s, Joe had followed his craft to where it mattered most — the finish work. The details that define a home. He transitioned fully into finish carpentry and architectural millwork, and what began as one craftsman with an eye for quality grew steadily into the business we are today. The foundation he built in those years — a reputation for doing the job right, every time — remains the standard everything else is measured against.

The Shop Today

Joe's son Chandler grew up in the business — in the shop, on job sites, absorbing the trade from the time he was old enough to hold a hammer. He went on to earn his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas, then spent a couple of years as a design and special projects engineer at Hytrol before stepping back into the family business full-time. The combination of that engineering background and a lifetime of hands-on experience significantly expanded what Rogers Custom Millwork could offer.

Today, every project begins with a thorough design and engineering process before a single cut is made. Projects are fully detailed and modeled in-house, so fit, finish, and function are resolved in the 3D solid model — not discovered mid-installation. The result is custom millwork that goes in cleanly, performs as intended, and holds up over time — whether it's going into a family's home or a large-scale commercial space.

Since 2018, we have expanded successfully into commercial millwork while continuing to serve our residential clients with the same care and craftsmanship that built our reputation. From custom cabinetry and plantation shutters to secret passage doors and large institutional projects, the scope of our work has grown — but the standard has never changed.

Raising the Standard

Quality craftsmanship is the baseline — it always has been. Continuing to build on that means investing in every part of the experience around it. That means developing our people, equipping our team with the skills to do the job right the first time, and building the kind of workforce that clients and contractors can rely on project after project.

It also means building better systems — because the work demands it. A standard kitchen involves upwards of 200 individual components. Larger kitchens push 500. A single room on a commercial job can exceed 1,200. Each of those components has to be designed, cut, labeled, and installed correctly. That level of precision at that scale doesn't happen by accident — it requires the right equipment, the right process, and the right people executing both. We continue to further integrate our technology systems to ensure a seamless flow across the entire lifecycle of the job. This ensures our clients experience fewer miscommunications, fewer surprises, and a cleaner experience from the first conversation to the final installation.
